FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS FOR 3500 EARTHWORMS IN ANY DOMESTIC SYSTEM

 What you must feed them

Cabbage, cauliflour, spinach, broccoli, potato skins (in moderation), apples, pears, pawpaws, pumkin, butternut, flower heads from arrangements, mint, the skin of pineapples and prickly stem.

Please note that keeping them in a regulated temperature makes them work optimally, they need to be kept in temperatures between 15 – 25 degrees, anything below or above that will make them go dormant and they wont work!!!!!!!!!!!

 What you must NOT feed them

 Any citrus fruit i.e. lemons, oranges, naartjies, grapefruit.  Garlic, tomatoes, leaves that have fallen off trees (they have a lot of water in them, even though they look dry).

DO NOT: –

  1. POUR WATER ONTO THE COMPOST TO GET ‘WORM TEA’ AS THIS DESTROYS THE ECO-SYSTEM IN YOUR DOMESTIC UNIT.
  2. DO NOT ADD SOIL TO THE EXISTING COMPOST OR INTO THE UNIT WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT
  3. IT IS NOT A RUBBISH BIN, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING MAN MADE, COOKED INTO THE SYSTEM
  4. DO NOT PUT WHOLE CAULIFLOURS, CABBAGES ETC INTO THE BIN, CUT IT UP OR BREAK IT INTO SMALLER PIECES SO THAT THEY DECOMPOSE QUICKER

WHEN THE SYSTEM IS EXTREMELY WET!!!!!

PUT IN DRY SHREDDED PAPER, SHREDDED CARDBOARD OR DRY GRASS CUTTINGS.

WHEN THE SYSTEM IS DRY!!!!!

PUT IN WET SHREDDED PAPER, SHREDDED CARDBOARD OR DRY GRASS CUTTINGS (SOAK IT IN AND THEN SQUEEZE OUT EXCESS WATER)
